Coming up is the 5th Annual Teen Safety Series, which begins on April 3rd. Share with your teen (ages 12-to-16), and register now. This FREE three-week intensive program addresses a number of current challenges that middle school students/high school students face. Sessions will be held the first three Wednesday nights in April (3rd, 10th and 17th).
Topics will include: alcohol and drug effects, vaping, sexual assault and stalking, social media safety, dating violence, bullying and cyber bullying, suicide prevention, gang issues and more. We will also be featuring several incredible guest speakers that will share their very own experiences with the difficulties of overcoming drug addiction and gang violence.
Parents, this is an excellent opportunity for you to learn as well. The first session includes a parents-only informational meeting from 6:35pm to 7:35pm at the Lake-in-the-Hills Police Station. We’re also available to discuss any specific concerns/issues you may have at this time. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to learn valuable information on the latest on vaping from our partners at the McHenry County Substance Abuse Coalition, as well as presentations from our officers.
